Happy Runners Posted by Picasa
Someone gave me a good piece of advice. They said, "If you notice the sound of your feet hitting the ground, while your running, your form is probably deteriorating. Walk a bit. If it resumes, call it quits for the day.

Safety While Running

Do you ever leave the house to go for a job without any proper i.d. on you? This recently happened to a man in my area of the country. He collapsed while out on a trail, no i.d., no nothing. Unfortunately, he died and it took over 12 hours for authorities to identify him. This is a great reminder for us. Please purchase a shoe pocket, or id tag, or even carry your cell phone with you if you are going to be out and about exercising! I do touch on this issue in the new ebook I wrote at www.runrunaway.com

Recently, I authored an ebook about running for beginners. I've been running for over 20 years and I currently own a running specialty store. I have owned the store for 15 years now. Anyway, had a great run today. The wind wasn't bad and the temp was in the mid 70's. I do not like to run hills. I don't care how far I have to drive just to run on a flat surface. Anybody else feel this way? I wrote this book for several reasons. One- my customers were complaining they couldn't find anything out there that was just plain and simple to understand. Two- I devised my own training plan and people loved it. I was so encouraged, I decided to put it in print! I want this to be a place where beginning runners will ask questions!
